Hi all,
I have two videos to share with you. One of the actual trip showing the hammock set up, and one of some time lapse photography I did of the Milky Way.
My son and I went hiking in the Desolation Wilderness near Lake Tahoe. We hiked in via the Echo Lake trailhead and camped the entire trip at about 8000 ft. We encountered some pretty heavy gusts of wind (about 40mph-50mph). The Super Fly tarp and Blackbird held up quite well. We did a total of about 30 miles but had to change our plans a bit after experiencing our first big FAIL of the trip on the first night. We were originally going to do a 40 mile loop but, in the end, all turned out well, as we ended up getting smoked out due to smoke from the Rough Fire that was burning in Sequoia/Kings Canyon way down south. The views on this trip go way beyond description.

Here is a separate video if you just want to see the Milky Way Time Lapse I shot. I suffered in 36 degree temperatures for 3.5 hrs shooting this, but it was well worth the effort. Be sure to watch it in FULL SCREEN HD! Enjoy!
