Spiral Ground Anchor - Anyone seen/tested these?

I was at Northern tool and saw these for $5 ea.

(didn't see 'em on northern's site...they were in their bin section kinda mid-store at my location..)

Interested in any opinions - looking at 'em for a YATS (Y.A.T.S for searching..)

The eighth paragraph mentions the screw in type anchors...

I can attest to the strength of this anchor - I bought them at Lowes. I replaced all the rebar on my Three-Person Hammock Stand with these - this stand puts an incredible amount of strain on the tie-downs. I used them twice, once with 20 Scouts hopping in and out of the hammocks attached, with no appreciable failure.

I wanted these to remove the impalement issue of rebar, specifically when having Boy Scouts around (they never watch where they walk).

Oh, one other suggestion: you can get a drive socket to fit over the end, so you can use a ratchet or cordless drill to drive them in.

Those get my vote. Longer versions are used for mobile homes...when they can be removed at all, they are usually destroyed in the process.
