I may give my wife the HH Expedition and buy an Explorer Ultralite. I think I am too tall for the Expedition.

I agree with this guy! Blackbird! It's the way to go! You get the zipper side entry the footbox and the shelf, plus lots better tree straps . This means alot! Just read more or show up this weekend and check out all the set ups! Thomas

Civic, what a great trip report and photos! You even had pretty ladies with you to improve the overall scenery! That is a great benefit that your wives can enjoy this activity with you.

I think you will find the UL Explorer even more comfortable, just because it is bigger. That is the one I have, and the one I started with several years ago. I still like it a lot. But- as I have sevral netted hammocks if needed- I recently cut the net off. Plus I can use my WB separate net on it if needed. I can only say that it seems even better now, and using it with the Super Shelter is greatly simplified, as I can easily reach under the hammock to make adjustments and check loft, etc. The only real complaints I ever had with the Exp were related to the net: couldn't reach out of the hammock, and often in my face. But no more!

Did you have many mosquitoes on this trip?

PS: Of course, a BB is a great way to go also, I'm sure you would really like it! But I do like to use my SS from time to time ( just call me weird! ), so that means my Exp. But, no problem, I think it is quite comfortable!

Where in AL are you located?

Thanks. I also am glad they can come with us sometimes. Some trips (ex: bad weather, really cold) they pass on, but overall my wife loves it. She is just super cold natured.

    No mosquitoes on this trip.

I am in Montgomery, AL !

I may just get the HH Explorer Ultralite. I love the all-in-one design, and the snakeskins !!!

I am in Tupelo, MS but I grew up mainly in Columbus, GA not far from you! Snake Skins(SS) are great, as is the Super Shelter(SS), at least for me!
