    question about bb

I had a HH sold it because of the sag, always found myself bunched up in the middle of the hammock regardless of how i hung it.

also have a big agnes copper spur 1 (ground dwellers).

but i haven't given up on hanging - so here are my questions about the BB

do you get a good flat lie when in the BB, I think I need that for a good sleep

what is the difference in 1.1 and 1.7

what is the difference/advantage of single layer or double, can you use an UQ between the layers or will it become compressed rendering in ineffective.

Thanks for your info, will help me make my final decision.

about as flat as you can in a normal gathered end hammock. Not perfectly flat, you can still get a bit of a ridge down the middle, but hanging it with more sag helps there.

for a truly flat lay you need a bridge hammock

those are the weights of the fabics involved. 1.1 is 1.1 oz/sq yd,
from nylon fabric that has 30 threads per inch. 1.7 is 1.7 oz/sq yd.
You ought to select a weight based on your own weight.

I come in at 190 lbs, more or less, and do fine in a single layer 1.7 and in a double layer 1.1 .

what is the difference/advantage of single layer or double, can you use an UQ between the layers or will it become compressed rendering in ineffective.
you put a pad between the layers, and it works fine. UQs go outside both layers. The main advantage to me for the double layer 1.1 is being able to put a pad in there. Heavier folks may go for a double layer 1.7 for the added strength.

i've given the bb weights to my web guy, but i see they aren't up on the site yet (the old weights were taken down several days ago)

if you know which ones you're looking at, let me know and i'll let you know the weight

I have HH and BB. I know what you mean about HH. The BB is much better. I wake up in pretty much same flat lie as I started with BB. . . Thank you very much Brandon!

That depends on the options you get. My hammock is a double bottom 1.1 with webbing and carabiners. The hammock itself weighs 24.4 oz with no straps, the straps are 3oz each, and my biners together weigh 1.6.
