I'd be interested too. I'd be more interested in base camping with side hike options. Since I'm new, I'm more interested in the hangin' and learnin' part than putting in miles.

After talking to some folks around here, I have come up with a plan for consideration: The weekend of Jan 15,16,17 at Albert Pike campground. Those who want to base camp and visit can do so, as Albert Pike is a VERY nice facility. Those who want a bit more of an adventure can hike the Eagle Rock Loop, as it runs right through Albert Pike.

Doing the ERL in just a few days is probably a bit of a stretch, but we would have more than enough vehicles to arrange a dropoff/pickup so that we could do just part of the trail.

    Thoughts?

Can you post a link to Albert Pike please? I'm trying to see how far it is, to see if it would be within range for me.

    Thanks.

    Marking the calendar now.

Negotiating with the rest of the household later.
