The Speer model has a strip of velcro on the inside and the outside of each long edge, so you can velcro it to the hammock and still use the Speer bug net. The universal model doesn't have the velcro, but has tabs for the side tie-outs and comes with extra shock cord so you can fit it to different models...it doesn't have an entry slit so you'd have to push it aside to get into the Hennessy, but b/c of the design (it's a pretty complex combo of darts) the fit isn't as finnicky as the KAQ or JRB. (At least that's the claim...obviously I haven't tested it.)

yeah jeff, i got a pair of those GG sunglasses too. pretty cool. and i was really tempted to come home w/ one of there packs as well... but i didn't.

the jacks will be using a lighter fabric on the new hammock, so that should help the weight some.

Those sport eyes crack pretty easily, but they are cheap and light.

That's why I got 2 pair...I don't expect them to last forever, but at $10 I'll be happy if I get a handful of trips out of each pair. They're pretty comfortable, too.

I moved the posts on patents over to the patent thread.

I actually opened a pair after they sat in my bag for a year and they were already cracked. Oh well.

Is it a fact that nobody got pictures of any of the new hammocks at TD? There are several of us that couldn't make it to TD that have been really hoping to get a glimpse of some of the new products, but I haven't seen any so far (except the sunglasses above). I find it hard to believe that nobody took a camera.

I have some pics of the warbonnet hammocks, Ed Speers new underquilt, and cat tarp. I'll post them sometime this morning. I forgot to get pics of the jack's hammock. I did like the feel of it though. When I laid on my side and stomach, I did not feel any of the torch on my waist that I normally feel when I do it in my hammock.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
