    Nice Knot I Didn't Know

When you look at it makes perfect sense… a quick-loose prussic on a bight.
    Ought to be handy.

Flash Grundelore Farrimond Friction Hitch first tied by British actor in 2008. It's a great knot for hammock campers as it is tied in the bight and is quick release. Tied in the bight means you can tie it in the middle of your rope and this can be real handy when there is excess rope. Most if not all other slip and grip knots are tied not in the bight, that is you have to pull through the knot all excess cord to the end for each wrap. FFH is NonJamming and the quick release ripcord can be made more secure--kid proof by adding a half clove hitch on final bight. Well not really kid proof. Barry Farrimond has given us a great knot.

It always surprises me that, for as long as rope's has been around, we are still finding new ways to tie it up.
    Love this one...
    Thanks for the backgrounding info.
