can webbing hold a slippery half hitch? I was thinking of attaching webbing to the Eno and using it both as the tree hugger and the suspension and tying it off at the tree with a slippery half hitch.

Try this. Attach the webbing through the channel of the webbing like the stock suspension came, use a bowline as the knot.

Then use either the Four Wrap Knot, The Improved Four Wrap Knot or the Round turn with two half hitches (you can also just use one half hitch in this case as the turns take the load); you can finish either one of these slippery.

Using these two hitches will prevent the knot/hitch from binding and will be very easy to untie.
