North Texas/Metroplex Area Hangers?

Any Texas hangers that want to put faces and names together before our mid November hang?

I'll be in Dallas on a business trip next week, (11/3-6) and would love a break from the conference I am attending to talk hammocks if anyone in the area is interested in meeting up for a visit.

I'm thinking nachos and beer or maybe coffee and cheesecake somewhere.

Doubletree - Campbell Center

I don't know anything about the area so I am open to suggestions.

I think that is North Dallas very close to SMU.

Yes it is close to SMU. On Central/75N just south of Northwest hwy. You will be pretty close to me, so I'm sure we can make something work.

I just saw the schedule for the conference I am attending and I have a group dinner to attend on Wednesday, (11/4) but free after about 8:00pm and Thursday evening, (11/5) from 6:00pm on is open.

I would love to hear some suggestions on a place to meet.

With or without trees, hammockers can hang out for a bit and I am looking forward to meeting some forum folks face to face.

you will be surrounded by eating/meeting places- the big street behind the center is greenville ave- lined for miles with shops and bars- across 75 (to the west) is northpark mallcontaing many of the toniest shops in dallas- depends on your wallet capacity as to whether you will want to buy stuff or just take the tour- (years ago they were a family outing just to see the xmas decorations). the mall has many food places, there are also plenty more outside the mall within a few minutes walking- which Dallasites hate to do, but might not be a problem for an avowed hiker dude...
