That's an awesome quilt - I bet you can't wait to get it out into the trees. I know that I have the patience of an untrained puppy in a pet store whenever I build something.

I'm not quite sure I understand how you did this without creating a 2 seam-allowance width of quilt without down in it. Can you elaborate? The finish looks great.
Great question.... if I understand your question correctly, this is the correct answer: I sewed the flat felled seam from the inside ( turned the quilt inside out ) before it was filled with down.
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

    Helluva job right there!

I'm not the least bit ashamed to tell you that mine isn't even in the ballpark with yours. Mine is square, uses climashield instead of down, has a drawstring to close up the footbox bottom, was made without a pattern and took less than 4 hours to make even while texting back and forth with my idiot friends about nonsensical schtuff.

Making a top quilt will forever silence you on the prices of top quilts, lol. Lord help, there's NO WAY I would make these things for what they charge for them. I used to think it was outrageous......not anymore.

Again, good work, that's a top shelf quilt you've made there!

Thanks Foresight. Having a plan and a pattern sure made it easier. I'm not sure I would have made it if I had to purchase the down fill. But I wanted a challenge, I enjoyed the learning process, and I really think I would make another one.
    Pics of your quilt?

It compresses a good bit more than that last pic, but I didn't have the top cinch cord channel sew in when I took the last pic, I was measuring the sack to see if I needed to cut any off of it.
