There is a rest area close to both campgrounds if you need water and a warm toilet
Any of the several primitive camps along Tunnel Ridge Rd are close to some of the best hiking and sites in the RRG…
Still watching this thread and gathering gear. I would really like to make this trip and spend a few days in the woods. Sounds like we are still bouncing around for a location. Just my .02 but a site relatively close to parking would be good. Side hikes would be great but to be honest I'm new to all this hammocking and while a hike to camp in June sounds good, November is a different story.
Again, just my take.
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.
I am out, wife claimed that for her birthday weekend.
