    I use the 2.5 for both suspension and ridge line The 1.5 is very strong but also quite stiff and a bit waxy, don't really like it, very different from the 2.5 for some reason.

    Amsteel is Samson's name for their Dyneema cord and rope. Dyneema and Spectra are different manufacturers' names for spun UHMWP. Various cordage manufacturers use different coatings on cord or ropes made purely from these fibers, usually some form of urethane.

    Dyneema or Spectra fibers are also used as a core (sometimes braided, sometimes not) of cords or ropes with a braided outer sheath of other synthetic fibers.
