YES! It's LOUD!

I think it was around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday night, what sounded like a large tree came crashing down somewhere close. Thankfully, it wasn't in our camp. I know I didn't dream it either because Running feather and a few others heard it, too.

Yeah, no doubt! Running Feather told me, "Should we take a 'roll call' ?"
I heard it as well!
I guess the lookout for "widowmakers" would extend farther than just the tree you intend to hang from!

I've slept like a baby through thunder storms & high winds, while others camping w/ me said they hardly slept

Thanks for the kind thoughts Hawk-eye. I am doinng better. I still have a bit of a cough but I hope to kick that soon as well and hit the trail again this weekend. I have once last marathon in PA for the season this Sunday if my chest is feeling up to it.
And I'll let SC speak for himself but I have never heard of anything that can stop him for long.

BTW The hike wasn't all that impressive it was the views that were impressive. I'm sure you will see a lot of them when SC posts his video hint, hint

Hangin' Burrito and Running Feather! Great job on the video. It was good to see some of the action from the top of the hill.
