Hello from Snellville, GA

Hey Everybody. I'm new to the forum and fairly new to hanging. I am a Scoutmaster here in Snellville and first saw some kids hanging under a shelter at scout camp a year ago. It looked pretty cool, so this year I got me a Grand Trunk Skeeter Beater Pro. I find I use it more upside down than I do with the net up. I may get me a new one for Christmas without a net.

So far I think I have hung 4 times: 2 miserable nights, and 2 really good nights.

Probably the coolest place I hung was at the BSA Sea Base down in the keys on Big Munson Island in July. A storm blew in at night and gave plenty of wind but no rain. Slept like a baby!!

Looking forward to learning more here.

And I am in for a N GA hang. Sounds fun!

Welcome to HF from Athens. We're having a group hang at Ravens Cliffs the last weekend of this month. Come out and join us if you can. Great group of folks to share a campfire with.

First thing I did when I saw that last night was check the calendar. Unfortunately I have already made plans to go deer hunting that weekend. We're camping the weekend before with Scouts, so that will be my first Saturday I can just hunt, otherwise I would totally come on up. I will try to make the next one. Sounded like a ton of fun.
