    Camocking this weekend?

My youngest has dubbed my adventure into hammock camping "Camocking" and she seems to be along for the ride.

Both daughters will be home from college for the long weekend and we are off for a weekend of camocking!

Well, maybe not (plans might end up changing) but regardless, if we leave the house or not we will be camocking in the back yard at a minimum.

I really don't even have all the items needed for all of us to sleep overnight in hammocks but I'm franticly trying to get something together and really our first overnighter should be in the back yard anyway. Plenty of wood for the fire pit, just need to make another set of tri-pods and we will make it work.

If you're headed out for the weekend, be safe.

Good idea. A lot can be learnt in the backyard.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

I like the term Camocking. It should be done whenever and where ever the need arises.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I completely agree. Out of the four of us I'm the only one that has spent some nights in a hammock and although it's not as nice as getting out to the woods I hope it will be an enjoyable time.

I still have a lot to do as far as outfitting all four of us and I'm just planning on sleeping bags as UQs and minimal/no modifications other than some shock cord. Will be using the blue/green/brown tarps I already have just to make it work. Have to make two bug nets and another set of tri-pods.

Looking forward to the outing even if it's just out the back door.

It does make me smile every time she says it.
