IIRC, there is a pretty deep hole that folks dive down to see right near the swim area. Its a 1 spring. and its one of the most beautiful I have been to in FL. they do say that scuba diving is one of their main attractions, pulling people in from all over the world.
Any additional recommendations for hammock friendly camp sites?

Yes, We may be full on our site (site 18), but I personally know site 20 and site 67 are good for 3+ hammocks. Other sites are plenty good for at least 2. All the times I have gone I have needed sites that were able to accommodate 3+ hangers.
But also every time I have been the staff has been very "hammock friendly and let me go and pick a site that worked for me if my regulars were booked.
All reserved spaces at the campground have been taken for this weekend. However they do have quite a few sites that are a first come first serve, so pack your hammock and head on down... or up, whatever the case may be good weather is expected...
If anyone needs a space and doesn't mind staying on my site. I have no problem bringing my stand and giving up my "trees" to accommodate another hanger.
If your planning on coming send me a PM or check in here and I can divide out meal donations.
Weather looks AMAZING for this weekend High of 85, Low 64 ALL WEEKEND with no chance of rain...mighty nice hanging weather.
I will be arriving with auggidog we are planning to do some diving as well as hanging.
Looking forward to meeting new folks.
Wonderful, we have about 7 on our site right now, but 5 in hammocks and two in tents. My buddy will be arriving Friday afternoon about 4pm. I am hoping to get there around 6:30. Should be a prefect weekend for being in the piney woods.
Auggidog & myself are at 66 can't miss the hammocks.
Put this down as a great place to camp!!! We arrived friday afternoon with no reservation but with a little double talk and confusion of the gate guard/host my buddy weaseled his way into not one but two sites we could check out before deciding which to stay in. His Jedi mind trick skills worked flawlessly . After setup and a fantastic dinner by the fire we strolled over to the other hammockers site, introduced ourselves and chatted for awhile before crawling into downy goodness. Had breakfast, not from the hammock but at the site picnic table (all sites have grill, fire pit, and picnic table) then went to scuba dive the spring. Unlimited visibility comfortable water and plenty of sun made for a great dive checking out the cracks and crevices, playing tag with the fish, and exploring the cavern. A great time with good hammocking people at a great place!
