    great video

Great editing. I liked the audio voice overs and the "Backpack" song! Looks like a great place to get to for me next year sometime. Thanks for sharing.

How far did you hike, where did you start/end?
This is one of my favorite hikes and places to camp and swim. The hike in is short at only five miles, but has many different changes that keeps it interesting and challenging. There's big cliff sides, stream crossing, boy scout ladders that you have to climb. I think they called them boy scout ladders because they're only big enough for a boy scout to fit through. There's an extreme climb down which leads to one of the best swimming holes I've ever seen on a river. Deep, clear and with a swing rope.( It wasn't in the video.)
In short, it's five miles that feels like ten and it's feels like a big boy's jungle gym. Lot's of places to hang hammocks!

Be careful, this trail head is close to the city of Soddy Daisey and Chattanooga and locals do break windows. The last time we went we used a shuttle system and didn't leave our vehicles there.

Thanks, that was my career in my younger years. Radio was fun but, you never get any weekends off. Please don't ask what I do now.

Lazyboy and I lead trips out there all the time. Next time we'll invite you guys. Hope you can go!

This place is great but you have to make parking arangements because there are a lot of broken windshields at the trail head. It is only is only 25 min. from my house so I can usually help with that. I am thinking of doing a trip there this coming spring.

    Which Pocket Wilderness?

What's the name of this one? Is it owned by the Bowater Co.? I've been to the Virgin Falls PW and that is a good one also. The sliding looked like a great time.

I think it's because they saw we had out of state or even tags from Atlanta. Sometimes locals can get very territorial. They see people from Atlanta as some huge invasion force (?) Hey, I'm just a country farm boy from Ocala Florida, I just live in Atlanta now. OR..it could be that the trail head is right on the road and very easy access for window smashing nar-do-wells.

The Bowwater company donated this land to the State of Tennessee a few years back. They call it the North Chickamauga Segment on the Cumberland trail. I think Pocket Wilderness is just a nick name.
