That looks great, have you considered a cuben version? How would the cuben to netting transition work?

This project was inspired by a sock/tarp combo developed by my good friend Hangnout. It is made of cuben fiber and has netting too (sewn). You can see it in the video below at the 3:02 mark.

Trust me, looks better in person. Everyone that sees it wants one. Takes about 15 seconds to erect and that is a great feature after a long day of hiking.
