Dutch wins again...
I was at MAHHA on Friday and storm blew in. I had my daughters tarp and my tarp and hammock strung up on three trees in a triangle. The one tree that both of our was live and very big. When the storm hit and there was just about a minute if gusting wind. I was hunkered down under my tarp when things started getting lower fast. Instinctively I reached up but instead of feeling my the slick feel of my Xenon tarp, I felt the distinctive and disheartening rough texture if bark. It pushed me out from the tarp and into the rain. It was only then I was able to process what was happening. The tree that both tarps were strung up on pulled up by the roots and and laid down right beside me. Everyone was lucky because the 50 foot tree missed everyone in a very crowded hand. No gear was harmed. Ahh the power of titanium, kevlar, and Xenon. Goo thin I am tree proof.
I was under the black one, my daughter wasn't there yet, thank goodness.
