I'm new to hammock forums so I'm not sure what all I need or can do. I live in the Mtns of NC. I would like to thank Shug for telling about hammock forums in his videos. If anyone has any suggestions of hammock forums web site to better understand I would appreciate them. Hope you all have a good day and the weather forecast for this weekend looks like it will be a good (no rain) and the leaves are turning colors here so it may be a good weekend for a hike.
Welcome from Greensboro. I lived in Independence, VA for a year back in 1989-1990. You have some pretty country to enjoy up there. You are in the best place to learn. Try to go to a group hang and see live examples of everyone's setup. We are always eager to share!

There is a group hang the end of October at Merchants Mill Pond State Park and early November there will be one at Yates Place in the Uwharries NF close to Sparta
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

The Yates Place hang is this coming weekend in the Uwharrie Natl forest, not in November.
