I've heard alot of talk about this stew, I'm curious, what's in it?
Does it have a name?
Everyone needs to tell Stormcrow how strong he is....flatter him, massage his ego, challenge him, make him want to see how much stew he can carry ! Fact is, he is one hiking animal. Strongest man on the trail I've ever seen! But, I doubt he's got what it takes to bring enough stew for everyone. (This is a good start, no?)
Last year I got a small bowl of Thorwren's wonderful stew. That small taste has been the motivating force to bring me back again this year! Yeah! I'll drive seven hours, I'll sleep out in single digits, I'll battle 50 knot winds, I'll do what it takes to get just another bowlful. Actually, the stew is pretty darn good.

Just a reminder to those attending: Please post on the Who is coming & what you are bringing. It is mostly so we have a nice variety at the Saturday Potluck dinner & not just hot dogs.
Thanks!

If the weather is favorable enough to warrant adding a day to the weekend, Fulminated and I plan to get to Wise shelter on Thursday evening. Is anyone else planning to arrive on Thursday?

If all goes well..and my back can take the trip..we will be there on Friday sometime late afternoon...8 hour drive for us
i just hope the weather is nice...in the 30's will be great...my body hates the bitter cold
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

Stormcrow, we 'gingers' need to stick together. I'll help haul the manna from Thorwren.
