HG 20* Incubator UQ Setup

Just got a TQ and UQ from HG and really like them so this post is not about quality but about my competence setting the UQ up. I have a Dream Hammock Thunderbird. I laid in it prior to going camping this weekend and thought I had it set up. Well last night I got a little frustrated with it.

The first issue I figured out quick and that was why I was losing heat from underneath and I realized that I did not have the ends closed up enough and it was open. Pulled the barrell locks closed on the head end up a bit and problem solved.

The next issue was on my right side (I have a left lay so down by my feet) the UQ would not stay up on the side of the hammock. Every time I shifted the UQ would slide underneath the hammock and I would have to reach out and pull it back up. I done this several times and it had gotten down to 30*. When it was in the proper place I was plenty warm but as soon as it would slip off I got CBS fast.

Has anyone got any ideas I could try to help me figure it out? I am 6'4" and my hammock is 72" wide but HG said the UQ would be fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Out of curiosity did you get the regular length or long and is it long enough? I'm 6'3" and just ordered a long.

I got the long....I think it is long enough I just have not got my lines adjusted right but I am not sure what I need to do to get it adjusted right.

Shug thanks for the videos....I have watched them before but forgot your idea of tightning one side up and loosening the other. That may cure the issue of it slipping back under the hammock. Thanks for the wisdom...been trying to watch your new videos on your Boundary Water trip. I have watched all your Linville Gorge videos and going to make a trip there in May. Looking at going in on the Babel Tower trail and hanging a left on the Linville River Trail from there.
