I'm been accessing FS forum for a while and even did it yesterday via tapatalk.... Been a donating member for a while too. So irritating too. I missed a good deal.

i guess it's just bad coincidence then, i become a donating member and now lost a big feature of accessing "for sale" in tapatalk (and potentially missing good deals) at the same time.
I guess I'm missing something too in the whole explanation of why it doesn't work....I've been using the FS feature regularly with tapatalk and its worked fine when I'm logged in or as a guest. I didn't have a problem yesterday with it either. I also haven't updated the app recently. Has there been direct contact from our Mods to the folks at Tapatalk to get a resolution?
Yep, I have had no issues until sometime mid morning.
Folks for some reason this is causing problems for everyone. I use Tapatalk almost exclusively and have had full access until this morning as well. I am personally talking to the admins to fix this. I am also not for this. I would like to have this fixed too.

It was my understanding that for quite some time you could view and post a reply (i.e. buy) in the for sale forum, but that due to the inability for tapatalk to allow enforcement of the 50 post requirement, the ability to start a new thread (i.e. sell) in the for sale forum was disabled in tapatalk.
At the very least, that's the way it's been for a few years, and that's the way it was always explained for as long as I can remember (and I remember when we implemented Tapatalk)
Correct but now you can't even view the for sale forum through Tapatalk.

This stinks. How important is the 50 post min? I really feel some forum rules drive more people away than they're worth. I have been on the FS forum using Tapatalk for months. Has anyone noticed a problem with the quality of FS posts or user behavior? If no, then why bother with the rule? Honestly, I've used/read the FS forum much more with Tapatalk than ever before.
+1 tapatalk is my primary way to visit this forum. The FS section will be missed.
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
Methinks you're not going to get anywhere with that particular line of thought - it's been made pretty clear on multiple occasions that the mods have no intention of changing that rule, and that the bulk of the hammock forums population supports it as well.
The primary focus of this forum is on hammocks and sharing hammock knowledge, not on the marketplace, and the rules are designed to ensure that happens civilly and effectively. If a person's participation in the forums hinges on whether or not it's convenient for folks access the ability to buy and sell gear via their phone apps, perhaps they're here for the wrong reason.
