New member from Columbus Ohio

Hello. I am new to hammock camping as of April. I tried it out in preparation to a back packing trip with the Boy Scouts. I loved it so much that it became my obsession. I now sleep in a hammock on all campouts and even at home every night. I am starting to build up my hammock gear. The item I am looking for now is an under-quilt. I am wanting to try my hand at making one as opposed to purchase but I'm very inexperienced. Still undecided on what to do.

I love all the great information on this forum and look forward to contributing someday.

Welcome, from another Columbusite! This is a great place to find info and if you can't find it, just ask. If you get your insulation worked out in time, we are working on a group hang at Mohican in November and we'd love to have you. The planning thread is HERE.

Welcome from Cincinnati. Quilts, at least synthetic ones, are not as difficult to diy as you might think. I'm getting ready to make my 4th underquilt and 3rd top quilt.

Yeah I saw the info about the November group hang. I'm not able to make it but look forward to making it to one sometime.
