    Suggestions for 27 degree hang

I am planning a weekend AT trip in NY and temps expected to drop to 27. I have a HH, BA insulated pad, 15 deg BA down Zirkel. I am a moderate to cold sleeper. Any suggestions?

Seriously, how low does that pad get you in your hammock? Have you tested that or is that a theory? You could always supplement with a torso sized ccf pad...
I think your bag will be OK (you might supplement with your clothes) but I don't use pads so I don't have much expirence. Error on the side of caution (and comfort)

Ditto about pad and clothes. Make sure you are in dry clothes when you go to bed. I always change into different socks even if I think mine are dry. I wipe my feet dry (taking care with each toe), air them for as long as I can stand it and then put on thick wool socks for the night.

    Calories

Another good rule of thumb is to eat something fairly soon before going to bed. The extra calories really do make a difference in keeping the furnace going.

Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.

There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.

    I strongly agree with this.
My last scout camp out, got down to 25 - 30 degree (in the ADK) and I didn't eat enough before going to bed. I woke up at 4am chilled and hungry.

Wearing some fleece thermo's with you current sleep system should work well. I don't use a pad, but my SS setup with an additional insul-bright layer worked fine for me.

or in my case on particularly cold hangs I would eat an MRE before bed and wake up at 6am starving

sometimes I eat a portion of a mainstay ration - they are like eating desert before bed.
