    I cut the tie and retied the whoopie sling the exact same way that Hennessey attached the original line. Just leave one end in place so you have something to look at.

    I didn't use a dead eye on mine, either.

    Same here, I did the HH triple sheetbend & finished with a bowline.

    Me too, but I find the bowline to be kind of inelegant. May try to do the whole end working with a fixed eye.

    yes, I've got queued the task to mod my zipper-enabled HH Explorer with UCRs. My plan is to replicate the Hennessy wrap and then bury the remainder. Effectively a fixed eye all caught up in a Hennessy wrap.
