PA > NC or NW PA Winter Hang Interest?

    Hi everyone,

A google search turned up Can't Wait's threads on the PA winter hangs in years past but it doesn't look like he has been on the forum for about a year or so. Does anyone have any contact with him and is there any interest in a late January / early February hang somewhere in NC or NW PA? Maybe something already planned that I may have missed?

I know, I know, the leaves are barely off the trees give it a break already!

    Thanks,

    CF

I don't, but I live in Western NY and would definitely try to make a NC or NW PA hang!

Alright the mail man just delivered a 24' parachute I bought to use as a group shelter. Does anyone have some suggestions on how to rig this thing? Is the heat from a fire enough to keep it upright, or does it need a central support?

    Count me in for that!

As for location, Allegheny National Forest has alot of options, even some on the water if we are willing to put in 3-4 miles.

I have only seen these with a central pole, or support rope. I would imagine that the heat from a fire would add some support.

Here's another site I'm looking at off of the Laurel Mill Trailhead 3 miles outside the town of Ridgway, PA in the Allegheny National Forest.

    Parking: 41.407195, -78.788515

    Site: 41.412791, -78.793665

ETA this might be a little closer for you NY guys
