    Full Moon Hang

After a day of cutting, splitting and stacking firewood it was time for some fun and rest. It actually didn't rain today and the night was to be clear of clouds. By the time I got the gear together and found a nice site it was sunset. Full Moon & minimal canopy of leaves made setting up in the dark relatively easy. Cool at around freezing, nasty gusty NW wind. Set the tarp lean to style on the more or less upwind side. Allowed viewing of the moon. The JRB Nest & MW3 + UL ThermawrapParka allowed me to sleep warm in the baselayer, OES tarp protected me from the wind, WBBB allowed me to fall asleep listening to the wind gusts sheering through the trees & moon gazing in comfort. Maybe too much comfort. Overslept once again. Missed the sunrise. Note the choice of trees to hang from.

That's a major problem with hammocks, to easy to oversleep.

Ha. Yea, that was me. I sure did need that sleep though. When I'm in my hammock and I wake up, all I have to do is shut my eyes and I'm asleep again. When I'm in my bed and I wake up, I'm up.

the moon has been outstanding this week...
I see it every morning driving to work
I clear night and a harvest moon can be too bright to get to sleep!

Thanks for the pics...I need out again!
