Superfly flew Out the doors at Warbonnet!

I ordered around 8:30pm Est on Monday. Got my shipping email Tuesday just before noon! It's due here in Northern NY Friday! Pretty fast.

Now, I need to figure out hoeing going to rig it! So many options! I'm pretty sure I'll go continuous ridge line. Definitely want to do pole mod but again so many differences. Can't decide!!

I like CRLs, but I don't always use them.

The thing with a SF (or any tarp with that style top seam) is that a CRL needs to run above the tarp. The risk of running it under is not about abrasion. The problem is that the CRL, if it's at all off center, can cause a "valley" to form between the ridge line and CRL and may well leak. Keeping the CRL above the tarp avoids any problems.

I went with a Dutch CRL for my WBSF. Have been really happy with it. I am traditionally a knot guy but these things really do make setup a breeze.

Also, I went with the pole mod from Wilderness Logics mainly because I liked the riveted attachment points vs the ZingIt! dog-bones of the dutch pole mod. Either one will work great. I cannot recommend the pole mod enough. It really does make the tarp livable, especially for someone that is 6'2" like myself.

DIY no-sew pole mod.....not an original idea but it works.

The CRL is the way to go. I use some zing-it for the ridgeline for strength but I think using that for the guy lines is overkill and just a waste of money. I'm a knot guy though and skip most of the hardware.

Good luck with your new toy!!
