Just getting into hanging and so far I love it just wanted to get the pros experienced hangers ideas and thoughts on this DIY project

What are your guys thoughts on this idea of 2 slightly insulated already Poncho liners the military ones sewing them together basically a sandwhich but also filling them with 3oz. or more of goose down same in TQ/UQ then just rigging a simple suspension from the hammock. My thoughts and ideas behind this:

1. they already compress pretty decently
2. Cheap 20-30$ per also goes with trying not to go company produced one right now saving for a good TQ right now
3. the liners are light and shed water and wind slightly too
4. just a fun DIY project

Please let me know thoughts ideas/pros/cons any tips greatly appreciated...not set in stone on this just seemed like a good save $$ and also get something that works...Im not an Oz weenie that type of stuff is trivial just really looking at if this could work. here are the quilts that I have purchased already just trying them out anyway plus again they were cheap.

Seems like a slab of climashield would be cheaper than down in the middle of the poncho liners.

3oz of down isn't going to help much and it needs light fabric to effectively loft up, so maybe not the best use of down.

Im changing the idea up and I'll post pictures when completed thank you to dudeman_atl for getting my brain thinking to suggesting the different type of insulation like climashield so I purchased 3 sheets of primaloft gold for in between the liners and my mother who is very talented at sewing is helping me put this project together...so i will report when it gets closer to being completed... thanks guys for the input

Just bought my second poncho liner and had been thinking along the same vein, though the snugpak UQ may be a better (read cheaper..err less expensiveroute) . Keeps us posted with lots of pics!
