    layin flat in the bb dl 1.1

    Hey guys; I'm on the BB site and looking at the stats and wondering if any of you are about 205 lbs and using the BB DL 1.1. According to stats thats a bit over optimum flatness. How is it for you. Do i need to think BB DL 1.7
    Thanks in advance

    You're just 5 pounds over the 'optimum' rating. It will be fine.

    if you're concerned about packweight, then double 1.1 or single 1.7 is the right choice. will still be plenty flat for 205#

    I weigh 205 and I get a good flat lay in my DL 1.1.

    You'll be fine.

    Thankyou Bamaman. Good to hear exactly that. I think i'm about to enter the world of " The Hanger People". Frodo, have you got the adjustable ring?? There are only a few ways to tame the Blackbird. (-;

    So here's a (kind of) related question...if I'm 150#, it seems that the single 1.1 or 1.7 would be fine, but do some people buy the double layer hammock in order to put a pad in between the layers? Or do people only buy the double to handle a heavier load?

    What you left out is that mosquitoes can bite through a single layer of ripstop, but not two.
