    I have this set up and have had it into the upper 30's with a CCF pad slipped in the middle w/20* down bag as a top quilt. I was in light thermals and a beanie. Very toasty. Probably the best DIY find out there. Saves some major $$$.

    i had been wanting to buy or make an UQ for a long while but just never really had the time or funds to commit to it. well, I finally nabbed two poncho liners off ebay -- 2/$20 -- and set to following @dejoha's instructions (awesome illustrations).

    now, I'm off to give it a few test runs before going camping in Oct. with the family (of course, i'll be hammocking!).

    I think I got 3 or 4 of them at the outlet store for a couple bucks a piece. Not the greatest but gets the job done. Just as an FYI do not use that one for a hot water bottle, it will warp. Apparently it is not as high a quality as the nalgene branded ones.
