    Ripstop weight.

    I weight 235.

I have a length of 1.13 oz dwr ripstop and a length of non treated 1.4 of ripstop.

I plan to use 2 layers to build an asym hammock similar to the Risk Z hammock, IE sewn on the ends with a double seam and sewn on the middle of the sides, and whipped on the ends to for the hammock.

The nylon will be hot knife cut

Question is will this nylon be heavy enough to last.
I dont want to get half way through a section hike and have it fail.

    Thanks

I think the dwr is not reommeded for hammocks.... I may be mistaken. It doesn't breathe well, if I recall.

Hmmm, they use it on sleeping bags so I figured it would be okay.

I was going to use it on the outside only, but maybe I should use 2 layers of the 1.4 non treated ??

dwr is fine for hammocks, it's still breathable. that weight ripstop will probably be fine for you.

I am in need of correction...
As i understood hammock material depends from "warming style"
If you are using CCF pad you don`t need high breathebility.
If you are using UQ IMO you need very good breathebility, to take out body wet(not sure is it a right term).

Any correctios in my theory would be pleased.

I ended up making out of 2 layers of normal 1.6 oz ripstop. IE not DWR.

You want breathability with either setup. If you are one that creates allot of body vapor/ condensation at night you want it to wick away from you. Otherwise you will wake up in pool of it.
