    Winter Hanging 2015-2016

Winter usually gets me more excited than any other season. I always look forward to the clean crisp air and BIG snow totals!!

But, this year it's looking pretty darn depressing. Warmer AND drier than usual. Basically the worst combination of all time for me I know the weather isn't 100% predictable, but who's kidding who? When they're going to this extreme, it is NOT good. Thanks a lot El Nino. Loser.

I'm talking about northern Michigan here - right in the bullseye of a boring winter

I hear you on that. Last year we had snow at our Gluttony Hang. This year it rained and sleeted. Michigan winters can be a hit and miss. Keeping my fingers crossed for some snow so I can get some use out of my pulk.

I hear you but if CA gets some rain and snow it's all good.
Should be a nice wet winter in AZ too.
We really need it in the West!

Does that mean Canada's going to be so cold that it doesn't even register? Awesome!!!!

Seriously though, winters have been getting milder over the years. But of course that can't have anything to do with global warming, climate change and mankind's propensity to mess up everything we touch.

Our last two winters were pretty brutal for us, but I like it that way. When it's 90°F and bone dry, but humid, for week after week, you need to mix it up.

A little rant: We've been keeping decent weather records for maybe 135 years now. I don't believe we can blame the global warming thing based on the past 10, 50, or even 100 years when the Earth is 4.5 BILLION years old. The simple quote says it best: the only constant in life is change.

I don't like that it has to be a political thing. If you want to reduce pollution, do it because it's simply the RIGHT THING to do. Not because your buddy owns a solar cell manufacturing plant, or your cousin has 20,000 acres of corn to sell for an extra $.01 if it goes into gas instead of food.

I guess I have 2016-2017 to look forward to

Well we just got this over the last 12 hours. To bad it'll be gone by tomorrow.

Nice!! I'm heading up north for deer hunting tomorrow. Close to 60 and sunny...BORING!!! Won't even take any winter gear with lows in the upper 30s. Weak.

It looks like it's going to be an El Niño Winter. Higher temps. More chance for icing. I may have to get some of those strap on cleats.

Nice ice art! This could catch on. Maybe after this winter we could have some competition on the best work of art on a tarp!?
