    complete newbie, from western NY

I love to do most anything outdoors. Unfortunately my back isn't what it used to be, and my brain says I'm still 21, but my body says otherwise. needed a new way to get me up moving more, so in my search for backpacking on Youtube I found Shug and then others that were just crazy about hammock camping.

First hang was last weekend with a good buddy (that i talked into hammock camping). We had animal visitors, human visitors, it rained, hailed, thunder and lightning, even a light off in the distance that wasn't supposed to be there ( i think now that with the leaves off the trees it was a porch light off a neighbor's house 3/4 of a mile off). Absolutely the best time I've had in a long time.

I have a hennessy Explorer asym with the 4 season option. I have much to learn to get the most out of this system. Not happy with it now but hoping to get help and knowledge from the forum to get the bugs out.

Issues are time that it takes to hang, correct set up, bulk (may just use this for camping, not backpacking). Any comments to direct me to the proper areas in this forum are greatly appreciated.

Stick with your HH a while and make it work as you learn. You are in the right place. These are great people! You can sell your HH on here if you want to make a change some day.
