    Baker Hut- not bad!

JRB 11x10 Baker Hut style. pitched over Claytor ( no Ridge-line, moderate sag), luxurious room to live in, we will see if I can keep dry!

Dude!!! I need you to Email me all your JRB 11X10 set up photos! You're the man when it comes to setting this thing up!

You might see about getting a sticky thread made in order to show your different set ups.

I gotta try that Baker Hut with mine. I might just bake me a veggie pizza under mine.

The pics are all in the gallery. The big advantage to Raw's pics are that he had the Speer for direct comparison. Man, those were some helpful pics!

I'm still not sure which one I prefer. The Baker Hut is GREAT ( especially with that cord going from the normal RL to a tree- that really provides a lot of extra support. (The pink/orange cord coming high off the tarp going to the left in the 2nd and 3rd pic). But I suspect the Speer does close up easier on the ends. They are both great.

Raw, I noticed something odd-- your Baker hut set up looks suspiciously similar to mine. I wonder what accounts for that? Oh well, I'm about to be accused of copying, since you posted first.

Anyway, I guess if you can set it up on the first attempt AND I can as well, it must be a pretty easy pitch to figure out. So everybody should give it a try. I'm glad you guys got to discussing it, because it spurred meon to try it. I still have not sent up tent style on the 10 foot RL.

But with 3-5" of windy rain forecast, I chickened out. I put it back to reg pitch, with my PeaPod and Claytor under it.

    Seriously, that is strange.

It's funny. Even when someone has the same gear as me, I always love seeing more pictures.
And because of that, I probably take and post a few too many pics.

Next up will be pics of my new NX-200 Clark.

The more I see the Baker Hut setup, the more I like it. Looks good with a non-bridge style hammock.
