Once I get that figured out I will be ordering 2 sets from Opie.
I just replaced the stock suspension on my HH and it was very easy. Remove the shrouds from both ends of the hammock by clipping the wire ties that hold them. Place both ends of the hammock side by side and remove the rope from one end while being careful not to allow the ridge line loop to slip back into the hammock. Now use the remaining end of your HH as a guide to tie on the new suspension line making sure not to forget the ridge line. All you will need is a new wire tie to reinstall the shroud. You can even open the prusiks for the tarp and slide the new line into them before removing them from old line so you won't have to tie new ones. The prusiks will not hold well on the new line but I only use them to anchor my UQ so no big deal. The whole operation, including construction of the whoopie slings took less than an hour and I am certainly quite challenged when it comes to knots. Like Nike says "Just do it"

When it goes over their heads, it really doesn't matter how high it is.

this whole whoopie thing is fascinating but i gotta say that the ease of setup with my bb and the new cinch buckles is so quick that for a couple of ounces i dont think i will be changing anytime soon. plus the cinch buckles look so cool!

I replaced the webbing suspension on my WBBB D1.1 with 10' whoopies and 5' tree straps.

Hooch made whoopie slings for me and put them on my hammock. when we were setting up it took too much adjustment for my taste and the toggles were awkward. I switched back to cinch buckles because they are so easy, right the first time, every time and I feel more secure. I love my Dutch Clips btw.

That's why I use my whoopies with biners. No fuss no muss. The whoopie slides easily thru it as you adjust.

Still, if you're happy with your strap setup then stick with it. More than one way to skin a cat.

No hitch... clip it through one of the loops.

Like Opie said. No hitch. The adjustable loop side of the whoopie goes thru the biner. The fixed loop side of the whoopie is attached to my hammock.

I like the Marlinspike hitch (even though I use a sheet bend ) because you can make fast right at the tree, without having to take up the excess hugger by wrapping it around the tree. To get the same effect with a biner, you have to use daisy chain loops on the hugger.
