I agree... best mod ever to a HH.

I had my long zipper put on the same side as the zipper for my sleeping bag. So, I can open both zippers and sit right on my open sleeping bag. Works for me.

Had mine put on the right side ... and use it as a left side mod twice now by just sleeping in reverse. Thought I might need to stitch the bottom opening close but it has such an agressive velcro attachment I've found there's no need. Anyway ... it gives options. I've found that since I'm right handed ... left opening works best for leaning out and using my alky ... ala the Shug technique!

When I was deciding what side to put the zipper on I had this same idea... just use the head end of the hammock as the foot end instead. I figured that way it doesn't really matter. Glad to hear it'll work in reality!

2Q, I'm hoping to get in one more outing, the NJ BaToNa Trail, then off it'll go. I'm gonna go with #2 zipper on right. I think. Seems I always set the tarp to come and go on the right. I'll be in touch.
