Will you be carrying arches for these poles?

A year or two ago, there was a thread about buying some surplus military pole sets. I bought a couple sets and made a spreader pole for my OES MacCat Deluxe. It's a great improvement over using tie-outs.

HOWEVER, while that pole diameter is fine for tent use, where it needs to hold up the tent and the tarp and has strong grommets to make it bend, ... these poles are far too strong (IMHO) and much more heavy and "big" than necessary for tarps alone. When going to the ground and using the tarp alone, the pole is too strong (stiff) to bend easily. I've had to run a cord along the ground, under my sleeping gear, from one end of the pole to the other, and pull it tight. Also, I'd love to build a small "tent" for my dog, but these poles are WAY too stiff to bend enough over that short a length.

SO, QUERY: Any chance you can get poles about half that diameter with much more flexibility, more suitable for hammock tarps, etc?
