    As to shaping. That might make them a little hard to pull out of the hitch and of course adds an extra step in manufacturing. I would offer some straight ones, too. There is really no need to shape them other than style. I've never had one even budge after it is set.

    They get tighter than you would think. The MSH is formed by the webbing which is cinched by the weight applied via the WS.
