Did you stake the doors toward the inside? I have never had a problem with mine not staying taught.
yes toward the inside slightly...and yes the doors are tight but when they tighten the sides loosen ---a puzzle
I stake mine the way I've seen others do it... with the doors and the sides kinda swelling out, like the tarp is pressurized. Perhaps you are trying to make it more like a house, with right angle corners... that could be difficult.

I use the SWT about year round, so here's my advice. Dunno if it's worth anything, but you can give it a try. When you pitch your SWT, pitch the center tie outs first. Make sure they're good and taut, then stake down the doors. This mothod works for me whether I'm using my guylines with or without tarp tensioners. Give it a try and see how it works for you. Good luck!

That's good advice. Sometimes what happens when doing all four tie-outs is that some of the tautness inadvertently comes from the outside edges placement and when they're taken down for doors the middle loosens a bit. If the tarp is pitched taut from just the middle two tie-outs first, then the "wings" placement shouldn't hurt it too much when they're changed.
That said, the stretching nature of nylon can play a bit into it as well. Some sort of tensioner is always wise on a nylon tarp.

I use shockcord on the doors now and only use 4 stakes with my swt. I tie the doors to the opposing side corner stakes. Its taunt just not as taunt as say a Maccat. The shockcord method works fantasically and you can get in and out without untying and retying the doors
I'm going to try Ekul's technique too. Thanks!

middle tie outs?
My Speer Winter Tarp has 2 tie outs on each side AND then the door tie outs....but on each side there is NO middle tie out....on my McCat Ultra there are three tie outs on each side and of course no doors....
