I went on a S24O with my daughter to celebrate Veterans Day. She slept in the tent, and I in my hammock. It was a cool 28°F (-2°C) overnight, and I stayed fairly warm using my 35°F Kelty Galactic down bag used as pull-up insulation. Inside, I had a short torso-sized closed-cell foam pad and a small sit pad for my feet.
The next day, we did some hiking down Sandy's Canyon and Le Petit Verdon near Walnut Creek. We discovered several animal latrines and I wanted to find out what animal left this scat. I'm thinking it is raccoon.
Any of my Arizona friends out there who can identify this scat?
