I have a Hennesey Hammock Monsoon SilNylon tarp with doors that weighs in at 19 oz. I no longer use this and would sell it for $65 shipped. It is a 10'6" ridge line which is what most ENO tarps are and would work well with the 9' ENO's and other 10' hammocks since the ridge lines are 83% of the hammocks length. It also has doors and one of the doors has excess coating on the material that should be removable with mineral spirits. I only used one door most of the few times I used it. It is in like new condition and included the stoic guy lines which store nicely in the pockets on the tarp.

I was unable to upload pics, someone else commented on this earlier, I'll check to see if there is a new trick or resolution.

Good luck on putting together an affordable kit.

    Thanks,
    Hey there,

I am curious about your rainfly. Do you have any pictures of it set up? From my research it seems to be a smaller tarp, and I am worried that it won't fit my hammock. Also, is it possible not to have the doors? And if so could you show me a picture? I haven't seen any without the doors on. Finally, how is it rigged? And would it come with the suspension to rig it?

If posting pictures on here doesn't work, you can PM me.

Thanks so much for your help!

Its kind of a hack job, I made it a long time ago and it was my first UQ. Should be good to 30 degrees or so. It is differentially cut and overstuffed like a beast. Its not the lightest UQ for sure. Message me for more pics or if you are interested.
If I were to use a DIY UQ, I would like to create it myself, nothing like using your own creation right? Any tips?

Can you sew? That's the first thing.

Its all in planning, marking and cutting. You do all those things well and the sewing should go fine. There are quite a few threads about making a DIY UQ. I think a synthetic UQ would be easiest and cheapest.

I used it with the HH Explorer UL, that hammock is 130" in length, the ridge line on that one was about 108", I tested in in fairly heavy rain with great results. Your singlenest should have about a 93" ridgeline and that should give you about 15" of overhang on either end of the hammock. The hammock does not include a ridgeline. It does include all o the stock guylines. If you need a ridgeline I could put one together for you.

Here is a pic of the tarp, I cannot locate a pic with the doors right now but could get that for you if you need it. I included a link to a pic with the doors in use.
