My better half ordered me some downy goodness for christmas. So, I figured no better time to buy myself a present as well to match it. So I have a 40* incubator with an extra 2oz and a 40*burrow heading my way. Looking forward to trying them out in Ocala for hangcon.

What does adding the extra 2 oz do exactly? Is it both warmer and have more loft? How does one decide on how much extra to add?
I called and spoke with Harry at hammock gear. He asked me a few different questions about where I normally camped and what kind of temps I usually camp in. Then I went with what he suggested.
I ordered the exact same setup myself yesterday.
According to the HG F.A.Q. they claim every oz of overfill adds another 5 degrees to the rating. So a 40 degree with 2 oz or overfill can be pushed to 30 with the right top quilt, shelter caloric intake etc.
