Since you all are doing a great job with the insulation material here - anyone with experience able to give me a rough estimate on what an underquilt with 2 layers of the 3oz Climashield from OWFinc.com would get a relatively cold sleeper to? I just made one but won't be able to put it into play for few weeks.

That's actually what my old Synthetic Yeti has in it, and I feel comfortable about going to 30 in it. I must be a cold sleeper to, because I find a lot of popular stuff not working for me.

    Awesome! Thanks.

And thanks for the quick response. I've got a sub-freezing hang coming up in a couple weeks that I'll use it for... but will have to augment it with something, probably space blanket and something else, but I'd rather stay away from pads this time.

try to get one of the "quieter" space blankets (AMR?) otherwise the crinkle crinkle crinkle will annoy you and all your neighbors all night long...

I've got a large truck windshield reflector pad that should do the trick, mylar on one side, 1/16" ccf on the other.
