    They were using aluminion bars that seperated in half for packing.
    Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

    It would be interesting to see what they are patenting if they are. It would be difficult to patent the basic idea since that's been in the public domain for several years. Maybe the bug netting arrangement. If they get a patent on that then maybe they can build a patent portfolio and sign a cross patent license with Hennessy.

    The bars they user were very light aluminum and they were not strong. They do not hold any weight. They are just spreaders. You could also use your hiking poles they said.

    the whole idea is the same concept as the suspension bridge, which is why jrb calls it the "bear mtn bridge hammock" i'm sure jrb wouldn't patent an existing design to keep others from making it. i hope not anyways...Brandon
