So I'm hiking around off trail today seeing what there is to forage. The area I'm in requires crossing a decent size creek on fallen logs and then the same to get back.
On the way back I find a nice big tree fallen down across the creek and there's a bit of a log jam underneath from the branches catching stuff in the creek. I see a red blob floating against the jam with the words Eno on it. Hmmmmm
It was definitely a sack of some sort but the water was muddy so I couldn't tell what I was looking at. It could have been a stuff sack full of junk, or just some tree straps in a bag or a tarp or a bunch of dirty diapers.
The drawstring was caught between a few floating logs and I had to extend my hiking poles out all the way before I was able to work it loose from above. I finally fished it out of the creek but didn't want to open the stuff sack in the woods as it seemed like I'd end up pretty wet getting it back in.
So I got home and finally opened it up to find an Eno SingleNest in what looks like perfectly new condition.
I hand washed it and have it in front of a fan to dry at the moment.
Bonus!
