Is the zipper on both sides of the blackbird or just on the left? Can you use a right side zipper sleeping bag?

You can order your hammock with left or right side zipper.
Ambulo tua ambulo.
My bag has right side zip, and I have not had any problems using it. I usually use it as a quilt unless I need more warmth.
"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity." Gen. George S. Patton
You might want to think about which side you sleep on for the Blackbird. If you sleep on right side, get right side zipper on hammock. If you sleep on left side, get left side zipper on hammock. If you sleep on back get same side as your sleeping bag. Sleeping bags come and go and like Big D says you may end up using it like a quilt. That's what happened to me with my sleeping bag. I use it in quilt mode 95 percent of the time.

For the best view and ease of use get the BB zipper on the side that you tend to lay on. For the bag, unless you enjoy laying on the zipper, get the zipper on the side that you don't lay on... I use a quilt.

I ♥ my Warbonnet
i got a right side bb because i have a right zip bag but like everyone has said i just use the bag as a quilt because its so easy. the right zip bb definetly is for people who prefer sleeping on their right side more, although i find that i can pretty much always get comfortable in most positions.
I've been trying to figure out if the BB was only made with a zipper on the left side since that's what are in every picture I've seen of the BB. I sleep mostly on my right side and it looked like it would be more comfortable with a right zipper. Now I know. I'm going to order one this week.
Just hanging around.
I just got myself a center zip bag, the exped wallcreeper 650, getting into it is pretty easy. I've also put a s-biner on the inside of both the foot and head end and have some shockcord holding the bag at each end which prevents the bag from sliding into the middle and getting all bunched up. for the head end that attaches to the bag I use an office paper clip (or similar) which will slip off if too much force is applied and not tear the bag. so far it's working pretty good. I really like my left foot / right zipper blackbird as I mostly sleeping on my right side, and all my hanging spots seem to be oriented that direction as well.
I also have a frogsac, another center zip bag for summer use that I like. when it's chillier I use it as a bag, and a quilt when it's warmer. I'd suspect I'd use the wallcreeper the same way. Last night on my porch, testing my gear in tent mode (on the ground) my wallcreeper ended up as a top quilt as the temp was around 60, maybe a tad lower.
