    Talking Vietnam Hammock Adventure

    G'day all

over 2500 post since I last logged on for 5 minutes. I got some reading to do

Over the past month I had the opportunity to travel around Vietnam

It was a experience I wont soon forget...

Here are the pictures of the hammocks I saw along the way.

Just first there is a couple of pictures of Hammocks used by the Viet Cong at the Cu Chi tunnels. I want to say that I share these in the interest of the hammock in them and I sincerely mean not to offend anyone who lost a friend, family member, comrade there, or who saw action there.

First here is a beautiful hammock that I found at a national park I stayed at.

Here I am at a hammock cafe

Relaxing on evening. Check the suspension

My guide rests while I explore

Hammock in a stand that I used while I stayed in a home stay

    its double layer

V.C. hammock and tarp at the Cu Chi tunnels

a modle of a hammock in a sleeping chamber of the Cu Chi tunnels

more hammock road stops that are very common in the south

    a mesh hammock

someone asleep in a hammock as I walked past

some hammock suspensions that I saw

There were many other photo opportunities that I missed as I was going to fast at the time or didnt have the camera on me.

some of the neat ones I wish I had captured was the driver of a cattle truck had stopped on the road in the country, let the cattle out and they were all over the road and he strung up a hammock in the back cage usually for the cattle.

    very clever.

The other were on boats or in between posts and trees at the markets and between cars and what not. it was great fun seeing where the next hammock was going to be hung.

    Cheers

    Wow, thanks for sharing.

The hammock road stop was interesting. I wish we had those here in the states!

Very cool!!! Thank you very much for sharing all that! Hope you'll have more later.
Hammocks may be a new fad to some here in the US, but that's a great example of how it's just a part of every day life some places.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Wow. Amazing to see how ingrained hammocks are to their culture. A hammock cafe...who would have thought?
