    2016 Winterish NEHHA trip report.

Good evening folks of NEHHA. I hope everyone is coming down from the food high this weekend. Food literally continued to rolled out from Friday afternoon to Saturday late evening. If you were hungry at all it was NOT from a lack of food.

Anyways, it was great to have everyone there, this is always a great time. For me it started Thursday night with just a great time around the fire. It it just got better from there. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in a box oven, spinning chickens dancing over the fire, and plenty of bacon cooked. However the best for me is and will always be, the shared camaraderie spent around the fire.

One thing I do with my Scouts is what we call Rose, Bud and Thorn.

    Rose- Highlight of the weekend.
Bud- something you want to grow or continue doing.
Thorn- something that you didn't necessarily liked.

If you feel like participating in this, it would help to maybe cater or develop the following hangs to be even better.

    Tim

ps: the next hang's details will be published by the end of the week.

Another winter hang in the books. Well sort of winter, as we didn't see the cold temps you would expect to see. I'll take 34 degrees and lots of good laughs over trying to break last years lows. As usual the food was a non stop event. Ginormous Jenga was a huge hit and I hope it makes it to every hang. I'll try to get some pictures posted later.

Really well done. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for having me at the Winter(ish) Hang everyone.
It was great to meet new folks and to see some old friends as well. I learned a lot and feel really positive about winter hammock camping as a result. Hope to join you again next year. Special thanks to all the folks that contributed to the raffle, that provided delicious food and campfire stories and to Tim and others (sorry, I am so bad with names) for organizing the event. I will add a few dark and blurry pics once I download from my camera.

I have decided that I cannot simply do one night. It just isnt enough time seeing everyone. Upside, the bridge was very comfy-which is good, for a first outing with it. I am definitely liking my new setup.
To R3l@x, sorry about coming zipping up the road. I had dropped my coffee cup, which was on the back of my jeep, when I took off, I wanted to get to it before it got run over

No worries Bill. I was waiting for you to come back up the road before I pulled out. Don't forget to send me that link.

Thanks to everyone who organized this hang. Another great winter trip with lots of food and great campfire talk. My first time playing Giant Jenga was a ton of fun Thanks for bringing it Jerry!

Excellent event, well worth the long drive! As my first time hanging in winter I learned alot of lessons from experiences hangers, which is always better than learning them the hard way. Loved all the cast iron cooking and have started shopping for a dutch oven.

Still didn't get to see a real moose

edit: That was a great slideshow Jerry!

So much fun as always! I'm so glad that I got out to see you all, even though I couldn't stay over.

That hike with all of the larper craziness was epic. Makes me want to nail random signs with stories about ogres and wizards and stuff to trees in our woods.

The raffle was amazing! Thanks so much for organizing that and thank you to all who donated. I have my order ready to go with dutchware and hammock gear!

Hope to see you all up at the next Alexandrialand hang! I might be able to supply a moose sighting, but no guarantees
